“It’s a pretty significant move. I haven’t — I haven’t gone back yet to look at the statutory authority that they rely on, so I — I should know that, and I don’t. But I had always assumed,” Sen. Mike Lee exclusively told Ask a Pol.

Congress keeps ceding its power?
“It has been since the late 1930s quite steadily, so it’s a — look, a lot of — I have thought for a while that rescheduling might be a good idea because it’s very difficult to test something when it’s a Schedule I,” Lee told us. “It’s different from them — yeah, exactly — from DEA doing it on its own.”
