TRANSCRIPT: Sen. John Barrasso
SCENE: Sen. Barrasso exits an underground tram and makes his way to the US Capitol while answering questions from Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo.
Matt Laslo: “Hey, how are you, sir?”
John Barrasso: “Hi Matt.”
ML: “What do you make of the DEA moving to reschedule marijuana?”
JB: “You know, I've been opposed to it when I was in the state legislature, I've been opposed to it while I'm here and continue to be opposed to it. And oppose Wyoming taking any action as well.”
ML: “Yeah? Where are you — have you looked at SAFER Banking Act?”
Barrasso shakes his heads.
ML: “No?”
JB: “I haven’t really.”
ML: “So, no?”
JB: “I think [Sen.] Cynthia [Lummis]’s probably better. She’s on the [Banking] Committee.”
ML: “Yeah, she's on it. So you don’t know? Haven’t looked at it?”
JB: “Not yet.”
ML: “Thank you, sir.”
